Our Mission

Our mission is to elevate the standard of online coaching by delivering a highly tailored, results-driven service for ambitious individuals who demand the best.

We work with entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals, dedicated gym enthusiasts, and sport-specific athletes who share a growth mindset and a drive to excel.

Through personalized coaching that focuses on movement quality, injury prevention, and strategic programming, we help clients train with intention rather than just “work out.”

Our goal is to guide people to move with purpose, unlock their true physical potential, and build strength that supports both their performance and their life.

Mike Destuyver

Coach & Entrepreneur

From a childhood filled with sports — swimming, basketball, judo, aikido, gymnastics, and football — movement has always been at the center of my life. I competed in swimming until the age of 15, which sparked my early passion for performance and discipline.

I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Sport & Movement, and built my foundation as a Personal Coach at DH Transformation Centre, where I was mentored by Dan Hunter (named Top 30 World Strength & Conditioning Coaches by Charles Poliquin). Along the way, I’ve been inspired by some of the industry’s brightest minds, including Christian Thibaudeau, Owen Gayle, Dan Hunter, and King of Weighted.

With 6+ years of experience in training and 1-on-1 coaching and 5+ years in online coaching, I’ve guided clients toward greater strength, awareness, and alignment. My journey has also been shaped by my own setbacks — including six shoulder injuries and a severe knee injury — which taught me resilience and the importance of smart, personalized training.

As Co-founder of Barbenders Belgium VZW and Co-founder & Co-owner of Barbenders Coaching, I’ve helped build a strong community around strength and movement. Today, I’m taking that foundation into my own structure and vision — combining my experience, methodology, and passion to help people on a deeper, more personal level through my own coaching business.

For me, coaching isn’t just about fitness — it’s about helping people understand their bodies, unlock their potential, and move through life with confidence.

Managing partner

Like Mike, my childhood was one filled with various sports (judo, golf, tennis, hiphop, modern ballet etc.) but my true passion turned out to be Poledancing. What began as a passion for movement quickly grew into a love for the discipline, artistry, and strength that the sport demands. Training for competition taught me about perseverance, dedication, and pushing past limits I never thought possible. It was in that world that I met Mike, who introduced me to functional training. From the very first session, I was hooked. Functional training opened up a whole new dimension of strength and resilience for me — and I never stopped.

While movement gave me strength and focus, my deeper passion has always been about people. More specifically, about the way we communicate — with each other, but also with ourselves. I’ve seen again and again how the way we express ourselves, set boundaries, and listen can make the difference between conflict and connection, between holding back and stepping forward. That passion eventually grew into my own business, ResilientC, where I’ve worked with people on, improving communication, and finding their voice, within their personal relationships or at work.

Now, co-founding The Biomechanic feels like everything coming together. This company is not just about online fitness coaching; it’s about creating a space where resilience is built on multiple levels. Where physical training meets the mindset needed to sustain it. Where clients are supported not only in reaching their performance goals, but also in feeling grounded and empowered in the process.

My role in this company is not to coach clients directly, but to bring in my background, vision, and experience to help shape what we stand for and how we grow. I make sure that the values of communication, clarity, and resilience are woven into the DNA of the business, so that the impact of the fitness coaching goes far beyond the workouts themselves.
